Samantha is an insolvency practitioner licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is based in our Bristol office.

After graduating from university with a degree in law (LLB) she went on to complete her postgraduate legal training with commendation from the Legal Practice Course (LPC). She went on to represent the European Law Firm including speaker roles at international legal conferences.

With a background in international consultancy firms, Grant Thornton UK LLP and Deloitte LLP, Samantha has worked on all types of insolvency appointments.  At Deloitte LLP she commenced her professional training as an insolvency practitioner, benefitting from ‘big 4’ training regimes and experience.

Samantha has been nationally recognised by her peers and shortlisted as finalist in the Rising Star Category of the prestigious Insolvency and Rescue Awards.

In 2012 Samantha launched Hawkins Insolvency, a boutique insolvency practice.  The firm advises on and conducts all insolvency procedures and she is personally licensed to take all insolvency appointments.  With offices in the South West and Wales, Hawkins Insolvency are positioned to assist across a wide geographic region.

With a wealth of experience in all insolvency procedures, she has advised multi million pound turnover companies to SMEs and owner managed businesses.  This broad experience distinguishes her from many in the insolvency field.

Other professionals in the field recognise her as dynamic, personable and direct.  This, coupled with Samantha’s pragmatism, enables her to suggest sensible solutions and act on them.

Sam is a passionate gardener, she enjoys propagating avocado trees and tending to her indoor plants . Sam is also a mother of two children and four dogs.
